Mr. Ningappa Kakol began with a recap of the previous day. The practical session on seed treatment began with a brainstorming on why seeds are treated. The facilitator first explained seed treatment for the following crops:

Some of the above treatments were demonstrated. In each case one or more of the participants were called in to conduct the seed treatment. Many experienced farmers also shared their seed treatment practices – especially modifications to the methods being demonstrated. The facilitator explained the purpose of each treatment. The details of the treatments are documented in GREEN Foundation’s publication titled "Sustainable Agriculture Practices".
