Tom Ashford
Tom Ashford is the pen name Green Conserve publishes under. The guides on this site cover the practical side of conserving resources at home: composting, cutting food waste, saving water and energy, and growing food.
How these guides are made
Each guide starts from the questions people actually search for, then is built from authoritative sources: university extension services, government agencies such as the US EPA, horticultural bodies such as the Royal Horticultural Society, and peer-reviewed research. Guides are drafted with the help of AI tools and checked against those sources before publishing. Every article lists the sources it relies on, and statistics are attributed in the text.
The guides are reference material, not a personal diary. They don't describe personal trials or a home garden, because none are claimed; where the evidence comes from, the article says so.
